A few little questions.
Do I need to know how to draw?
Just a little curiosity. Start with an editable template, change a color, or place your first pixel on a blank canvas. You can undo as often as you need.
Does Dot by Dot work offline?
Yes. Drawing, animation, templates and exports work offline. Projects save on your device. An internet connection is only needed for store purchases and restoring Pro.
What can I export?
The free app exports transparent PNGs and animated GIFs without a watermark. Pro adds sprite sheets. Enlarged PNGs keep crisp pixel edges, up to 2048 pixels per side.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase, planned at US$2.99. The store will show your local price at launch. It adds larger canvases, more layers and frames, Pro templates and sprite sheet export.
Where are my drawings saved?
On your device, with automatic local saves and retained backups. You can also export an editable .dotbydot project file to keep your own backup or move it to another device. There is no cloud sync.
